Willard Library





 Opened in 1885, Willard Library is the oldest public library building in Indiana. The exterior of the Italianate Gothic structure is of brick and stone with detailing in terra cotta and formed metal. The interior is highlighted by carved oak woodwork, decorative plaster and expansive windows. Riches in the form of local historical records, manuscripts, genealogical information, art books and more than 60,000 volumes by the world's greatest authors. 21 First Avenue, 425-4309.
