Freedom Festival
The
Freedom Festival is a myriad of exciting events ranging from the Kid's Day
Big Wheel Race to Thunder on the Ohio - the world's fastest racing boats
hydroplaning across the Ohio at speeds up to 200 mph! Other festival
events include a hot air balloon race, a parade down the walkway, Mike Harvey's
Super Gold Sock Hop, the Miss Freedom Festival Scholarship Pageant, and the
Festival Finale - the Fourth of July Fireworks over the Ohio River. The Freedom
Festival takes place June 14th through July 4th. Most events are held during
Thunder weekend - the last weekend in June. Contact the festival office at
